André Nieuwkerk founded Budelpack in 1971. Almost 40 years later it was the second generation's turn. In 2010, Peter Nieuwkerk took command of the successful contract packaging company in an enthusiastic, driven manner. Together with Marcel Baljeu he constitutes the Budelpack Poortvliet B.V. Board of Directors. A brief introduction:
Peter Nieuwkerk • Group Managing Director – Majority Shareholder

Peter Nieuwkerk, founder André Nieuwkerk's son, acquired 10 years of commercial experience in a variety of sectors. He started working for Budelpack Poortvliet B.V. in 2004. In 2010, he was appointed Managing Director and in 2012 he became the majority shareholder. The transfer of responsibility for the Poortvliet site to Marcel Baljeu in 2017, allowed Peter, as Group Managing Director, to concentrate on the expansion of the Budelpack Group. Peter is also functionally responsible for all commercial activities within de Budelpack Group.

Marcel Baljeu has years of experience in the field of administration and financial controlling. He joined the Budelpack Poortvliet B.V. management team in 2007 as Financial Controller. Marcel’s areas of responsibility included financial controlling, financial administration, HR, ICT, supply chain management and operations management. In 2017 Marcel was appointed the Managing Director (director under the articles of association) of Budelpack Poortvliet B.V.
