Budelfood B.V. receives grant of €115.607
On 19 June 2023, Budelfood B.V., part of the Budelpack Group, together with partners Gastronology B.V., WVO Zorg and Wageningen University & Research, received a grant of €115.607,- for the project 'industrial 3D food printing in healthcare'.
The grant, which was made available by the Province of Zeeland, will be used by Budelfood B.V. for research into scaling up production of 3D-printed food and for research into the effect of 3D-printed food on dysphagia patients.
The technique of 3D food printing makes it possible to produce food in its original form, with fresh ingredients, retaining the natural smell and flavour, but edible with a spoon. The respectful way in which 3D food is manufactured means dysphagia patients can once again enjoy eating recognizable food that has good taste and nutritional values.
The first range of 3D-printed food that will be produced by Budelfood B.V. will consist of 3D printed carrot, broccoli, haricot verts, cauliflower, green peas, beetroot and sweet potato.
